GCA Breakout Session Discussion Topics and New Testament Scriptures On Unity
During our triannual gathering we will convene “breakout sessions” to help all attendees and partners establish a kingdom bond through the power of the Holy Spirit. Each facilitator will lead their group through the following scriptures listed below and answer the following questions. During this gathering, please encourage group members to engage with a new friend for future kingdom collaboration in our city.
As a GCA Partner We Are Praying That True Unity Will Spawn REVIVAL, and We Will Witness The Following 5 Benefits In Our Communities, Cites and Nation.
1) True “Unity Gathering” across racial, denominational, and partisan political barriers will crop-up in cities across America. “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ” (1st Corinthians 12:1).
2) Corporate Prayer for our nation, communities, churches, and families will become a top priority for pastors and local churches in their own communities.“ if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2nd Chronicles 7:14).
3) Homelessness will decrease substantially. “…share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him…” (Isaiah 58:7).
4) Our jails and prison populations will decrease exponentially. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives…” (Luke 4:18).
Racial strife among mature believers will be nonexistent because they understand that all believers are one in Christ. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28).
Here’s what “Unity” looks like from Heaven!
Matthew 6:10 “Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.” Until transparency, functional, and genuine relationships are established among Christians in their own cities, there will be no unity.
