Gideon 300/Greater Charleston Assembly Declaration Statement
As Gideon men, we acknowledge the destructive legacy of racial prejudice, the divisiveness of Christian
denominationalism, and the tensions of political partisanship which have hindered our ability to walk in
unity as followers of Christ. They have stood as barriers to the full expression of God’s Kingdom among
us. We understand that true unity will never occur if we continually bring up past sins over which the
current population has no control and for those events which cannot be changed or erased. As Gideon
men, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are committed to a true brotherhood that reflects the
Kingdom of God that overcomes all efforts to divide us. We pledge to continually evaluate our actions and
align them with this commitment, ensuring that our fellowship remains a true reflection of God’s
Kingdom. We will move forward with courage, humility, and unwavering faith, confident that God will
guide this movement to bring transformation to cities, nations, and the world, all for His glory.
