Commission Government
The C.A. Commission on Government represented through the Summerville 9/12 Project is a facet of our community that believes its primary function is to hold governmental officials accountable for the stewardship of our nation. Politicians must constantly be reminded that “we the people” stood in line to VOTE in order to send them to Washington D.C. to represent our national interest, state capitals to represent us in our states and to local municipalities in order to represent us in our communities. Although the C.A. does not endorse any particular political party, our constituents are impacted by all parties. Consequently, our aim is to work with all politicians who share the civic, moral and spiritual values or our organization. The 9-12 Project is a national grassroots organization formed by patriotic concerned Americans. These people are business owners, blue collar workers, farmers, physicians, dentists, stay-at-home moms, teachers, and retired folk who believe that Washington is not listening to WE THE PEOPLE and not governing by the U.S. Constitution. The 9-12Project is uniting Americans to protect the values and principles of the greatest nation ever created.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?
The purpose is to educate citizens about the Constitution and the workings of the government. Also, the purpose is to involve citizens in the legislative process, ultimately restoring this great country to the principles on which it was founded.
WHO IS FINANCING THIS GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT?
The members themselves are financing this movement.
WHAT ARE OUR PRINCIPLES?
The 9 principles are listed on the SC 9-12 Project website. The Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution with these principles in mind, so every citizen would have the guarantee of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Because the government has grown from the intended limited government to a tremendously powerful government, that guarantee no longer exists.
WHAT ARE OUR VALUES?
The members believe in the 12 values listed on the attached business card. The values, on which the Constitution was founded, have been eroded by government officials, lawmakers, and politicians. The very people that citizens have placed their trust in throughout the years have betrayed Americans. The 9-12ers demand that elected officials and others in power exemplify these values.
HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED?

WHAT CAN I ACCOMPLISH BY JOINING A GROUP?
Your voice, along with many others, will be heard by Washington, and this group, at the grassroots level, is making a difference in the future of this country. Also, you'll meet many new people, make some new friends, engage in stimulating conversation, and have a lot of fun.
